Description
Lentivirus expresses codon optimized Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) under murine phosphoglycerate kinase (mPGK) promoter. A Puromycin gene under Rsv promoter allows to select transduced fluorescent positive cells. The following scheme represents its core expression cassette structure. See Product Manual (.pdf).
The mPGK promoter: this promoter contains five copies of the hexadeoxynucleotide, GGGCGG, a CCAAT sequence, but no TATA box. It can efficiently drive the expression of reporter or genes, and may preferably in some cell types.
Application:
- measure the mPGK promoter strength in your desired cell types;
- monitor lentivirus transduction efficiency for your cells of interest;
- create RFP expression stable cell line (via Puromycin selection);
- others: promoter and pathway research;
Amount: 1 x 108 IFU/ml x 200ul in PBS. (This is the concentrated lentivirus in PBS).
