Description
Lentivirus expresses the HBsAg (Surface antigen) of Hepatitis B virus. It has the human codon optimization for high expression in mammalian cells, expressing the full length of HBsAg antigen (NCBI ID: AAA45498.1, click to see its Amino Acid sequence), with a poly-histidine tag at the C-terminus (6-His tag) which allow the purification of the antigen via Ni NTA affinity column.
The target was expressed under enhanced CMV promoter. A RFP-Blasticidin fusion dual selection marker under RSV promoter, allows to sort or select transduced cells via RFP fluorescent signal or via Blasticidin antibiotic. RFP signal provides a convenient, realtime monitoring the lentivirus performance. See Product Manual for details (.pdf).
About HBsAg: HBsAg is a surface antigen of the hepatitis B virus (see HBV scheme below). HBsAg can be found in blood which is a sign of infection. If it is found, along with its specific antibody, It means the person is infected by HBV and is infectious.
