Description
Pre-made lentivirus express nuclear localized Flp recombinase (Flippase) under the enhance EF1a promoter, carrying Puromycin selection under RSV promoter, allowing to select the transduced cells via Puromycin antibiotic killing.
Flp-FRT recombination is a site-directed recombination technology, increasingly used to manipulate an organism’s DNA under controlled conditions in vivo. It is analogous to Cre-lox recombination but involves the recombination of sequences between short flippase recognition target (FRT) sites by the recombinase flippase (Flp).
The 34bp minimal FRT site sequence has the sequence:
5’GAAGTTCCTATTCtctagaaaGtATAGGAACTTC3′
Amount: 200ul/per vial, at 1 x 108 IFU/ml (concentrated lentivirus provided in PBS solution, premixed with 10x polybrene/ 60ug/ml) (see related product, the Flp expression lentivirus with RFP-Blasticidin dual selection, CAT#: LVP014).
