Leukocytes Report
About CD43 Promoter:
Leukosialin also known as sialophorin or CD43 is a transmembrane cell surface protein human T lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, platelets and some B lymphocytes. The CD43 promoter contains transactional motif that contains high G and C nucleotides, but does not contain any TATA or CAAT boxes. The CD43 promoter’s transcription is mediated by the transcription factor Sp1.
Report Lentivirus for Leukocytes:
GenTarget developed a set of reporting lentivirus for specifically or labeling leukocytes and platelets. Those reporting lentivirus has a luminescent report or a fluorescent report under the promoter of human CD43 gene (click to see its sequence) that specific expressed in leukocytes and platelets. Those reporter lentivirus are best suitable for infecting the human or mouse T lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, platelets and some B lymphocytes, as well as for the signal pathway research on CD43 promoter regulation.
Those reporting lentivirus also constitutively express a fluorescent selection marker or an antibiotic selection marker under the RSV promoter (Rous Sarcoma Virus Promoter) which is a moderate to strong promoter in most cell types. This selection marker is used to select the lentivirus infected cells (to generate the stable cell lines) via antibiotic killing or fluorescent cell sorting. See the scheme below for lentivector core expression cassette.
The premade, ready-to-use reporter lentivirus provides a much easier tool to specifically labeling or reporting for human or mouse Leuckcytes / Platelets in vitro and in vivo via the luciferase signal or fluorescent signal.
