Pre-packaged rAAV in Serotype-2, constitutively express the mCherry (Red Fluorescent Protein, wavelength Ex/Em: 587nm/610nm), under a modified CMV Promoter, No-tag. The following scheme showed the AAV vector’s core structure. See Product Manual for details.
AAV Serotype-2 has a higher preference for transducing CNS (Brain), Retina, Kidney, Liver, Skeletal Muscle, Monocytes. To determine the serotype that best suits your desired cell types, you can use the AAV-GFP Serotype Screening Kit.
