Description
Lentivirus expresses codon optimized Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) under Actin beta (ActB) promoter. A Puromycin gene under Rsv promoter allows to select transduced fluorescent positive cells. The following scheme represents its core expression cassette structure. See Product Manual (.pdf).
The Actin Beta (ActB) promoter confers constitutive expression in a variety of different cell backgrounds, including differentiated muscle. Normal promoter activity is dependent upon the binding of a ubiquitous factor to the CCAAT-box element. ACTB (Actin Beta) is a ubiquitous globular protein that is one of the most highly-conserved proteins known
Application:
- measure the ActB promoter strength in your desired cell types;
- monitor lentivirus transduction efficiency for your cells of interest;
- create GFP expression stable cell line (via Puromycin selection);
- others: promoter and pathway research;
Amount: 1 x 107 IFU/ml x 200ul in in DMEM medium with 10% FBS and 10x of polybrene.
