Description
Lentivirus expresses human target, KRAS: Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (alternative name: C-K-RAS; CFC2; K-RAS2A; K-RAS2B; K-RAS4A; K-RAS4B; KI-RAS; KRAS1; KRAS2; NS; NS3; RASK2 ). The sub-cloned codon sequence is identical (100% match) to CDS region in NCBI ID: NM_004985.
The target was expressed with a N-terminal HiBit tag. The HiBit tag is derived from the naturally occurring bioluminescent protein NanoLuc, which emits a bright luminescent signal upon interaction with a specific substrate. When the HiBit tag is fused to a protein of interest, it can be used to detect and quantify the expression of the tagged protein in cells or tissues.
The full sequence-verified target is expressed under the enhanced EF1a promoter (which is best suite for the hard-to-transduced cell types and suspension cells, like T Cells, B Cells). It also contains a GFP-Puromycin dual selection marker. The GFP signal provides convenient, real-time monitoring of the particles’ performance. The scheme below shows the lentivector structure. See Product Manual for details.
When desired, use the cognate Null-control Lentivirus (CAT#: EF1a-Null-GP-PBS) as the negative control, for lentivirus treatment in your cell culture. The Null-Control does not express any targets, but express the same GFP-Puromycin selection marker. See also its RFP-Bsd version of this target expression, CAT#: LVP1637
